Folds to hero and I open for $222. MP2 3 bets to $900. Should I just fold? She's telling me she has a premium hand. Can you ever call here and play AQ op or if you are going to play the hand do you have to 4 bet? She's not a maniac but has shown herself capable of taking a stab at the pot and folding.

it's obviously player dependant. what do we think villains 3betting range is here? vs 5% of hands 88+,AJs+,KQs,AKo, your a 38% to 62% dog, vs 10% of hands your even . So look at the pot odds your receiving & work from there.

4-betting depends more on her range. Calling depends more on how she plays postflop.

The problem with a hand like AQo is that a 3-bet will turn out to be KK or AK a lot, and you have exactly one good card against both those hands, but you don't know which it will be, while your opponent will very likely know if they're beat or not (AK hates a Q-high flop, KK hates an A-high flop). Therefore, you don't have an equity problem as much as you have an implied odds problem.

In this case, though, her 3-bet is so large that I don't think I'm ever just calling. If she went to like 500, then yeah, against a lot of people I'd call, if I either think they're going to play their cards face up, or are bluffy enough that I can just call down and pray if I hit... but with her going all the way to 900 over a 222 open, it's shove or fold IMO.

I'm going to go with Xopods on this one, except I'm going to lean towards the fold. I think there are better places to get it in.
