    Dale, the fact you are here means you are willing to learn. I think that watching those poker shows kind of distorts the picture a bit vs what playing at your local casino is like.
    I agree w/what Equity said, there is a lot of learning involved and myself, have recently dropped down to the below $10 buy ins to fix leaks/try different thing (some of the tips in this site's videos).

    maybe u can drop down in stakes and budget yourself like it's a hobby instead of a job? once you make a set amount in the lower stakes, then think of moving back up.

    bankroll management is just as important as plugging ur leaks.

    also, having support from this group helps your poker / mental sanity i find.
    you might want to check out pokercoaching.com also, it's at least once a month and has a more interactive coaching format in the form of quizzes and monthly online live meetups.

    i think crush live poker may be a good fit. See if they have a trial. Also look for "live at the bike". I also recently did some training that was recorded so I'll post it here if it ever gets published.
